Sharing from our speakers

“As the world steadily adopts LEDs as an alternative light source, we also strive to induce electromagnetic spectrum from modern lighting systems to transmit information, also known as Li-Fi technology. It is a secure, fast and seamless method of exchanging data. IoT technologies will be more commonly used in residential environments, I believe Li-Fi technologies will assist in its adoption across the globe and enhance the end user's experience.

For Smart Cities - The future for Li-Fi technology is bright. Once the technology matures, it will service as the backbone of the citywide network infrastructure. Consequently, this will enable faster 5G and 6G network speeds for the general public.”

“Smart lighting will undoubtedly be widely used in the future due to its multifunctional abilities and customisable nature over generic lighting. However, cyber security threats are primary concerns for this technology.” They include:
- Insecure web interface
- Insufficient authentication/authorisation
- Insecure network services
- Lack of transport encryption
- Privacy concerns
- Insecure cloud interface
- Insecure mobile interface
- Insufficient security configurability
- Insecure software/firmware
- Poor physical security
