Demand for cotton yarns in China continues to grow
From January to February 2021, China’s imported cotton yarns reached 350,000 tonnes at USD 858.8 million, which is 25% higher than the same period in 2019. Before and after the Chinese New Year, domestic and overseas orders for fabric and apparel were relatively smooth, while cotton yarn stocks of yarn mills and domestic traders were generally low. In order to meet production demands and speed up the delivery of orders, there were high inquiries for purchasing cotton yarns from India, Vietnam, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Peru and Brazil.
Don’t miss the opportunity to promote your cotton yarns in China, the largest consumer market worldwide, by participating at Yarn Expo Autumn 2021!
“Yarn Expo is important to the yarn and fabric industry in times like this, especially when it serves as a communication platform for companies large and small to share market information and promote their new products. Holding a physical event is also crucial for businesses as buyers need to look at the products in person. The fair is professional with a wide range of products on offer. We’ve had excellent results this year as there’s been a fourfold increase in visitor enquiries.” Ms Li Shaoping, Senior Manager, Cotton Council International, Hong Kong
