China’s lighting market has huge potential

Following the Chinese government’s RMB 4 trillion package to stimulate domestic demand, a diverse range of urban infrastructure projects are now under construction. This has prompted a demand for energy saving and high efficiency lighting products.

According to the 2011 OLED Lighting in Asia report published by NanoMarkets, the Asian LED market opportunities could be worth as much as USD 2.1 billion by 2016, with China’s LED lighting market accounting for USD 420 million.

China’s sustained economic growth over the past decade has made it a vital market for U.S. producers of advanced "green" lighting equipment.
Large show scale
In 2011, the show set a new record of 100,465 trade visitors from 116 countries and regions, of which 80,510 came from Mainland China.

"This is my first visit to this show to look for LED products. I think the products displayed here are complete, and it’s easy for me to find what I need. This is an important show for the industry to build up relationships with others as well as meeting new business partners. Since everyone is developing LED technology, it will be the focus for the industry in the coming years."

Mr Zack Chen, Sales & Marketing Specialist,

"The scale of the show is bigger than I expected and there are many overseas buyers. I am here to source for LED lighting and update myself about the new technology in the industry. I believe the show is an important platform for information exchange and product launches."
